I think the "glass soap" m&p technique is so cool. So, naturally I had to give it a go. I'm struggling with bubbles. I'm not sure if I didn't spritz enough alcohol, or if my layers were too cold. I placed the bat embed on the first clear layer that was about 97 degrees. Or is it because the bat is so textured? Hoping for some input. I'm overall happy with the design though.

IMG_2452.jpgThis little bat should appear solid black, but as you can see, micro bubbles are present giving it a fuzzy grey look. It doesn't look terrible; you can actually see its eyes. But I'm a perfectionist.

These look amazing! Sadly, cannot help with your question.
As a general rule, spritzing with alcohol deletes any air bubbles when working with MP. What was the temperature of the subsequent layers when you poured them? Typically, they need to be between 125 - 135 F, so they don't melt the lower layer.

Thanks! Yes, I forgot to add that the rest of the layers I poured at 120 F. I'm wondering if the embed is creating the air itself just by its shape.

Thanks so much everyone for your kind words and bits of wisdom.

@dmcgee5034 I don't have the best camera, my phone is quite old--I feel like it takes on a more "grey scale" look. Did you want a closer pic?

I do think I'm going to try a bit hotter temp, see how it goes.
