I was wondering if anybody has a favourite gardening soap. I have a recipe that I am not sure differs much from the regular soap I make. I'm looking for scrubbability, we bought one from Lee Valley Tools but can't find it to figure out the best ingrediants for a tough soap.

I use a base recipe that is heavy on coconut oil so that it is cleansing, and I add lots of coffee grounds to mine for scrubby-ness. I also add lots of "deodorizing" EOs, like lemon and lavender. It has a peculiar smell the first few weeks it cures, but the coffee ground smell and EOs mellow out after that. It is my go-to soap for dirty, smelly hands! It also rinses clean and leaves no smell on your hands after use.

If your making cold process soap

I add:

Cornmeal
Apricot Kernel (for the speckle look)
Grounded Pumice

Scented with Litsea EO, or some type of Citrus Scent
If you need a receipe let me know.
