This is the most difficult soap I've ever tried to make :shock:

here's why:

I use the hot processed method for all of my soaps and this particular fragrance oil (watermelon- of course) had a flashpoint of 135% :shock:

If you can imagine, by the time my soap cooled down that much it was so thick it was like working with playdough except much harder because I was trying to stir in the color while it was this thick.

anyway,

when I finally got a good green color for the bottom part, i pressed the soap into the mold on the bottom and on the sides

then, i took the other part of the soap and colored it with a flourescent pink and plopped it on top of the green soap!

I let the soap sit in the mold overnight and the next day when I tried to unmold it, the pink was trying to separate from the green :?

I pressed them together using as much pressure as possible until they FINALLY came together!

Whew!
I love the final result and it smells great!

I think it looks fine!

If you want to try this again, it might be easier using the CP method. Assuming you gel, the different colored parts would stick together more reliably. I'm very impressed that you tried this using the HP method!

I don't know WHAT i was thinking :shock:

waay too much work for that batch of soap :?

next time will definitely do cold processed
