Hi all! I posted about locating supplies in Portugal in CP forum - But was thinking - has anyone traveled with FO's EO's? I was wondering if you put in your checked bag? If you boxed up supplies and marked as perishable and checked it? Or but them in a suitcase and didn't tell them - just was another piece of luggage? etc

If you have done it please let me know what happened... And if you traveled international or not.

I emailed a few suppliers and so far one has replied with 'they know some customers have traveled with them in checked bags...'

Thank you all so much!!

OK I heared back from PEAK and they said they don't ship anything with flashpoint under 140 degrees.... Just FYI four anyone who was curious.

I was hoping to find any personal experiences. Please let me know. TY!!

By my knowledge no FO company ships FO's with a flashpoint of 140 and beneath.

You can take FO's with you when traveling from US to EU; just make sure you don't take FO's with a flashpoint of or under 140, take the bill with you and stay under €430.
That way you can import them without having to pay extra taxes.

they won't ship that low via air mail, but I think they do by ground,

which won't help with getting them to Portugal, I guess.

TY Ladies - I REALLY appriciate it! Especially the value part - Customs was my next obsticle.

Do you think for the rest of my supplies (of course I will repackage in measued amouns to be sure I am bringing a tad over what I need to make X batches since weight is such an issue) That customs will give me a problem? Should I bring my bill of sale for those butters and oils too? If it's for personal - or do you think 40 lbs of product for a 4 moth trip they think will be above 'personal'?

Just thought I'd ask that too if you have gone through the shipping experience. Its just so difficult finding supplies here and of the one vendor I found - they are so expensive!

It started me thinking - I should become a distributor here! Anyone wanna move to Portugal and start a new biz distributing and teaching soaping? LOL

Thank you so much!

You should also check with the airline to see what size they'll allow you to travel with. Smaller sizes may be no trouble but when they get larger, that's where issues may arise.
