Christened my new mold with my 1st ITP swirl attempt! :)

1stITPswirl.jpg

'Kakadu Sunset'...Red palm with aussie red clay

Definitely mixed too early, but Im pretty well pleased :) :)

Too bad there wasn't more of a contrast because that is a great swirl!! Just can't see it good...but you did great!

I love the subtle contrast, clays are so nice to work with.

Beautiful Swirly Goodness!

I love the name! Kakadu Sunset really does evoke a sense of intense, yet subdued colour - and I think the colours/swirls are perfect for the name. If you are after a more contrasting swirl that will look lovely too....but I am loving this one for the name you picked :D

Did you scent it with anything? Or is it just left naturally 'soapy'?

Tanya :)

yeah, wanted more contrast-next time I'll separate less soap/add more clay & wait til the mixture is a bit thicker. My 1st couple swirls(ITM) I left my run too late n got globs,so I was extremely nervous bout doin that again, ended up too far the other way LOL

The mold is superduperwonderful!! :) :) had a little trouble with mylar sheets(hadn't used those before either) but thinkin the teeny bit of texture was the prob...

Scented with good ole sw.orange/ylang/patch..just seemed to suit the sunset vibe for me :)
AND full credit for the sunset soap idea goes to the lovely young woman at toxicfree in West End here in Briz, who suggested it when I got the PO & clay :) :) (kakadu wuz mine but! lol)
