I am beyond excited, having just done my first funnel pour (in) column. Traced to perfection and poured super smoothly. Am going to wait two days to unmold and cut. Will post pics once cut!

UPDATE: Sneak peek in the mold!!

Looks beautiful. Is that purple, gray and natural? Strange question, but what size funnel opening did you use...I never can decide how wide to go. Congrats. Can't wait to see it cut...please post pics.

It's actually just black (activated charcoal) and natural. The really black areas are where I poured fast and lots, whereas the lighter, gray areas are where I poured super light and slow. Used the same funnel size throughout. Funnel spout is about 1/4 inch in diameter. I debated alternating sizes but found that the speed and amount I poured in and the count I held (I counted as I poured) seemed to provide tons of variety in how the swirl turned out. I checked it a few times during the pouring process and even tilted my funnel once or twice to set the swirl off-center. We'll see how it all works out.

Am letting this one set up for 2 days so cut pics will be here ASAP!

Is the name of the soap, "Ring my Bell" from best songs of 1979. Cuz that looks like a gong. Maybe you can name it Ninja, because it looks like it can fly.

Okay, enough out of me, I've had too much sugar, and the above sounds like cheesy soap pick up lines. I love the soap, it really is amazing, I love how it seems sparkly, and it just does look like a gong when it reverberates. It's really beautiful, I can't wait to see the cut pics!

I LOVE the column soap pour, careful when you cut it... it gets addictive!

I believe you!! I'm already thinking I need more column molds since this one is now occupied. Time to go find some tall containers I can repurpose into molds.

* I foresee a trip to the Lowe's plumbing section in my near future! *

How about another teaser? It feels like it might be a tad too soft to cut and I don't want the colors to smear when I cut so I'm a gonna wait another day. Maybe.

This is from the other side of the column. So excited!!!

I have really got to learn more patience!! I cut this too soon and smeared charcoal all over my soaps!! Oh well, another lesson learned. I am tickled with the effect as a whole, I just need to do a cleaner job of cutting next time. And that means letting this baby set up for at least two days, I think!!
