I used a recipe I found on Utube....

it seemed to turn out fine when I was making it. I put it in bottles and in the fridge over night. Well, when I checked it this morning...it looks like whipped mousse. You touch it and it sticks to your finger, but, when you rub it, it turns creamy and applies nicely. Smells wonderful too...vanilla, lavender and sandlewood....yummy!

Just not sure why the texture is the way it is? I thought it would be more like regular lotion.

Depending on the actual formula (% of oils vs % of water) some lotions get very thick and work better in jars. Did you use a stick blender or something else?

Yes, I used a stick blender and put them in 4 & 16 oz jars.

I don't have the recipe in front of me now....

being refrigerated might have something to do with why the texture seems so different from bottle to skin. try leaving it out overnight to see what happens.
