Super pleased with this soap. I've been having troubles slowing down trace enough to do a more delicate swirl. Perhaps I haven't been cooling my lye water off enough because this time it was super chilled and was a dream to work with!

Wow those are nice!! I love the simplicity of black and white like that.
So just how cool was your lye water?
Was your recipe mostly soft oils?

I don't know an exact temperature of the lye water, but it had been in the freezer for a few hours to cool it down and it was roughly as cold as ice water. It hadn't iced over yet, though. It was cold enough I was afraid I was going to get false trace.

This recipe is 34% butters, which is more than double my usual recipe.
 
Those are some gorgeous swirls! For those who don't like to wait for the lye water to cool, make your solution the night before, and when you're ready to soap the next day the lye will be all done and waiting for you.:thumbup:
