So many amazing & beautiful scrubby soaps this month! I'm glad I don't have to vote this month!
Slow your roll, there, Sister -- not all the entries have been posted yet! You know, the dark horses'.

Just finished pouring my batch (my one and only attempt, cheez, what's with the over-achievers and their two+ attempts!). I'm glad for this challenge because I've been meaning to make some. Now it'll be ready for the gardening season. It's my most utilitarian soap so my challenge was how to make it look nice and it didn't help that a certain someone chose @Misschief 's in the opening post! I normally use brewed coffee for my lye liquid but left that out and used a mica. The coffee grounds turned the batter browner than I wanted and not sure the mica with the brown is going to work. We'll see if gelling helps.

I'm a hard act to follow, @Zing... even for myself! ;)

So do salt and kaolin clay count as exfoliants? I just made mine and realized after pouring that my oat flour was on the side forgotten 😭. That what I get for trying to rush and get things done in a short window.

Edit
My kids decided to take a nap at the same time. It was a rare occurrence and I thought it would be perfect. Lo and behold, my youngest pulled the wool over my eyes and only napped for 40 minutes (usually 1.5 hrs). Just enough time for me to finalize my recipe and get the oils and lye mixed. So I was rushing to get all my additives in and everything in my mold before I went to grab her.
She was not happy to wait...

Holy crap @ScentimentallyYours! That is amazing and the story was so cool as well. 🥰
I would’ve taken up three whole pages worth of posts if I put all of my Mount Saint Helens stories in the entry. I will find the best online story of Keith and Dorothy Stoffel, who were literally flying right over the top of the volcano is it blew up! Keith took the most incredible pictures of a volcano as it exploded.

@bookworm42 if the salt wasn't dissolved, it definitely counts as an exfoliant. I am going to say that kaolin clay counts, too. We look forward to seeing your entry!

I’m a one hit wonder too. My soap was poured yesterday, unmolded this morning. I need to see what time I have to have my entry posted, that’s tomorrow, right?

Alla gotta say is I'm out. Byeee!

@Cindy D. , @Tammyfarms , and @AliOop - thank you for pointing out the defect in my entry post!!! I do remember reading in the past that the entry is supposed to appear first. But, in my zeal to get on top of this early, I forgot!!!

I guess I need to make myself a checklist for this, too! Although we s.ee how much my checklist helped me to remember the loofah in my soap that I made as a potential entry for this challenge.

I've edited my entry post. Thank goodness I got a really early start on this!!!

I have a picture to post but can't post it because I FORGOT HOW! Typical me! Oh well, I will submit it when my son feels better, he spent the morning in the ER with a kidney stone! He went to bed at 8, I was ready to post at 10:45 and couldn't for the life of me remember a darn thing
about how to do it! Life is tough. I did learn a ton of stuff so it was worth the pain of learning new things...I never knew you could use lakes and mica together for instance. I needed dirt brown and made the best-looking chocolate bar color at about three this a.m....Aloe Pwd + Madder Root!
This will also teach me not to wait until the last minute!
