I've tried the juicy pear from MMS, and it's divine- true scent that doesn't fade in cold process. I'm trying to find something similar that is more budget friendly. NG was a bust. What else should I try?

I don't know how it compares price-wise with MMS, but I love Peaks Bartlet Pear. Smells just like a juicy, ripe pear, and best of all, it soaps great!

Great to know! Peaks had great prices when I compared, so I'll definitely give it a try!

I think Fresh Pear might be the other one I've tried. It seemed a bit weak and almost powdery. :p I'll have to check my bottle because I think NG has a few versions.

While we're at it, what about oatmeal, milk and honey? I got one from NG and then realized the reviews aren't that great and it can morph into a nasty ammonia scent, even in lotion. Now I'm afraid to try it.

My most favorite OMH is actually the one I make myself out of 2 different FOs. One of the FOs I use in my blend is Oregon Trails OMH, which is actually an excellent OMH on its own- smells just like its name and has none of those annoying cherry/almond notes that most other OMH's I've tried seem to be plagued with- but it unfortunately loses its milky oaty-ness and morphs into a cinnamon scent in my CP. To counteract that, I mix it with Daystar's Milk Sugar Kisses and my soap turns out perfect- just the way I think an OMH soap ought to smell- milky, sweet and oaty. I use a ratio of 5 parts Daystar's Milk Sugar Kisses to 2 parts Oregon Trails OMH.

I have to put another vote in for Peak's Bartlett Pear. It's a perfectly fresh, sweet pear scent that isn't over bearing, easy to work with, and sticks well. A favorite.
