I want to dry, not roast, some pumpkin seeds for my rabbits. I guess they are already cooked, since my BF cooked the pumpkin and made a savory pumpkin pie. But I just want to dry them out really good. The weather is in the low 60's now, I could put them out in the sun on a cookie sheet. Or maybe in a warm oven with the heat off? I have no idea how long it would take. I figure my bunnies would love some fresh treats instead of the store bought ones!

I bought a food dehydrator to make grain free treats for my doggy with food allergies.

Best spend 30 bugs ever :p

You can also put veggies, like carrot in there.

I forgot to say thank you! I did think about this, I just have no counter space or cupboard space to store one. :( So far I have just put them in a bowl on the counter and stirred them around with my hand every day. I need to get to my sister's to stick them in her dehydrator! If I did have one, my bunnies would be a lot fatter than they are now, he he he.

Since they are already cooked you can spread them out on a cookie sheet and preheat the oven to 200F, slide the cookie sheet in and turn off the heat. This should help dry them out in a couple hours.

If you needed them cooked you'd leave the heat on for maybe 20-30 mins then salt to taste or don't salt and feed to pets :)
