Does the smell of the BASE OILS fade eventually?

I think my combination of base oils might stink a bit.. and I was wondering if those smells fade away during curing?

What base oils did you use?

I think it's the Babassu and Castor Oil

I used Olive, Castor, Coconut, Babassu, Sal butter and Shea butter

In my experience, a castile bar (100% olive) will have an olive oil scent. It's not bad (to my nose, anyway), and it does fade some, but it is there for a long time. Neem does not fade.

Castor oil is scentless to me. Not sure about Babassu.

I have used babassu and didn't notice a scent.

Maybe it's just my nose then.. It's tarnished from the stink of that beer soap.

I am clearly the only one that doesn't mind the smell of making beer soap, I see. I never used sal butter but shea butter does fade. Babassu doesn't have as much of a scent, which is good. I really did think you were talking about a fragrance blend though and was wondering what you blended together.
