I've been wanting to make soap with "stripes" but I'm not sure how to go about it. This soap on etsy is an example of what I want to achieve: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?li ... d=20972569

When I separate a single batch of soap and color each part differently and then pour the layers in my mold, it obviously all seeps into the next layer of color. So if I make one batch, let it set, and then make a second batch and pour it on the first, will it "stick" to the first layer?

Sorry if this all makes no sense. Basically I would appreciate it if someone would tell me how to get some defined stripes in my soap!

tho there are many techniques for layered soaps, i find this the easiest if i am not pressed for time.

i will make half a batch of c/p-let it firm up-anywhere from 6-12 hrs. then make and pour the other half-a-batch on top.

the layers stick to eachother without any add'l prepwork.
