A friend told me while using my charcoal soap in the shower that it crumbled into pieces. Have anyone experience something like this? This is the second time I heard that my soap crumbled during shower the first being a stout soap with cocoa powder. I'm wondering did I ODed on the charcoal or cocoa powder.

Charcoal soap:
Soap temp: 40C
Lye Con: 30%
1 and half teaspoon carbon powder in 600g oils
Cured: 1 month

Stout soap:
Soap temp: 40C
Lye Con:29%
12g cocoa powder in 1200g oils
Cured: 2 months

Both above have Cedarwood and Bergamot EO. Same recipe use for my other soaps without crumbles. Only this 2 reported incident.

That's not so much ... Maybe you should look for another culprit.

I've never had soap crumble. Thinking about something though: maybe it starts some fine cracks while you cut it and it crumbles later.

If you're using the same recipe and always cut it after let's say - 2 days, it could be that the powder causes your soap to be a little drier after 2 days and that you should cut it a little earlier.
