Crisco?

Ok so I ran out of GV shortening but I have crisco new formula. I ran my recipe through soap calc everything looks ok with the exception of not as hard a bar but not that much off either so has anyone had good soap results with crisco?

Crisco works nicely in soap, at least it has for me.

The new Crisco is hydrogenated soy and palm which should work fine in a recipe. I have found that sometimes it imparts a very light pink color to my soap.

I have used the new Crisco with coconut, rice bran and Castor oils. The soap turned out great.

Thanks y'all . It will be just for a couple of batches anyway cause I prefer to stick to GV at Walmart but since I ran out of that I had to sub so crossing my fingers hahaa

Some of my best soaps are made with Crisco.
