creating your own online coupons?

anyone know how to create a code for an online coupon without having to join a website or anything like that? i have sooo much junk mail from places that i have to join before i can even see if they are what i am looking for and i am trying to avoid yet more junk mail.

You could create your own coupon code rather than relying on a service. Certain order forms have a place for a discount code that someone can place the code in for a discount. You could make your own coupons using photoshop with the code written on it.
