So, I've been in the process for getting a new house and I haven't been able to make any soap :(

I have castor, coconut, palm, and olive oil from about a year ago.. I did the smell test and well the olive oil and castor oil smell funny... but the palm and coconut don't smell like the olive oil and castor oil do... I mean they just smell like oil I guess... I've kept them away from sunlight and in the basement of the place I'm staying now.. I was just wondering if anyone could put their two cents in because I normally use up my oils within a couple months.

Can't wait to start making soaps again- just 4 more months!

coconut and palm are very stable, but absolutely the OO can be off. I don't really know about how stable the castor is.

storing in dark and cool slows rancidity, but doesn't prevent it.
