Hello All - a newbie here - I've only been at this for less than two weeks. But am having a blast!!!

I noticed the other day that some of my melt and pour white soap base (that I dyed green) is changing color - from green to a greyish color. Some of the clear glycerine (red) has darkenen a bit but not as dramatically as the green - lighter colors havn't had a visible change (yet). Is this normal??

It has not been exposed to direct sunlight.

Could the FO cause these changes?

Does this soap require a UV protectant?

When will this changing stop?

I know I've got alot of question but I'd appreciate any help from the pros.

Many Thanks

:?

I'm no pro - but if you tell us what you used to color maybe we can figure it out.

Addiction is fun, huh?!?!

Yes, Yes, Yes, it is addicting!!!

Thanks for responding.

The color I used was from Michaels - nothing special.

The first day I made three mini molds - one using clear mp (dyed green using yellow and blue), one with clear mp (dyed red), and the other with white mp (dyed green using yellow and blue). I wrapped all in glad wrap then stacked them on top of each other - kinda of in a pyramid pile.

I notice that when I moved them a day or two later there was an outline on all of the white mp soaps that were on the bottom... and the outline was in the shape of the soap that was stacked on top. I hope I'm making sence. It looked like the soap on top "shaded" the soap on the bottom but it was on in direct sunlight.

Could the colors bleed through the glad wrap?
