I’ve been making the same recipe 100’s of times for a private label account. The last 2 batches have seized as soon as I mix the lye water with the oils. Lye and oils both 98 degrees F. Lye 8.7oz and water 15.5oz. No FO/EO. I’ve always had plenty of time to do a 3 color hanger swirl. I’m wondering if my oils or butters could be old? I can’t figure this out. Can anyone help?

Old or rancid oils... You may not be able to tell by the smell, either.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again: I am incapable of noticing the difference in smell of rancidity! My mother has tried MANY times, and nope! I can't tell any difference! When SHE takes of her shoes though, I can smell her feet no problem, yet she has NO CLUE!
