Coconut Oil help

Hi all,

Just bought this coconut oil (picked it up so I didn’t hand pick it myself) and would like your thoughts as to whether it’s any good? Smells fine. Top was almost gooey, the rest looks normal but from the side, something’s up. Expiration not till 2025.

Hi, it was liquid when they packaged it. Could be the way it resolidified. Or it probably melted and resolidified. Somewhere along the supply line.

Ah my beloved Big Lots coconut oil! I also think it’s fine - as @Ford suggests maybe it melted and resolidified somewhere.

That's what mine looked like in the jar I bought from the supermarket a couple of weeks ago, I hadn't seen it before either. It's melted and resolidified in transport. I soaped with it and it's fine.

I've had a couple of jars look like that here in Florida ~ I just figured it was from going from liquid to solid during transport, storage (in the store), then to my house (partially melting again in the 100° car), then cooling again in my cabinet It never smells funky so I just use it anyway
