Citrus EO in HP

Does citrus EO wither in CP only or HP as well?

i did a lemon one that was hp and the scent faded a lot. i only used 1/8 oz for 1 lb of oils though. it smelled so strongly that i was afraid i'd over do it. i should have at least doubled or tripled. the lemon scent is there, just very faintly.

Unfortunately, citrus scents are just some of those scents that just don't last, in CP or HP.
You could try anchoring the eo with litsea cubea (may chang). Other "anchors" are pathouli, vetiver. It depends on what you choose to compliment the citrus eo that you are using. This seems to give the citrus eo something to "grab" onto, and helps it last longer. I have also heard of someone using cornstarch to help their scents last longer, but I just don't know how that would work.

I used grapefruit EO in CP soap, and it didn't fade. 1 oz for 6 lbs of soap, and it is a nice mild grapefruit scent still, and it was made over 3 months ago.
