2025 - In addition to
the soap I made for this month's Confetti Challenge, here are other batches I made using the flotsam and jetsam of my soapmaking adventures.
The bottom half is the original soap, which was made with a bit of cocoa butter that I needed to use. It's scented with BeScented Love Spell. The original loaf did not play nice with an impression mat in the bottom of the mold so I cut it in half and used some for confetti. A thin slice of the original loaf was used to make my first rimmed soap ever (soap on the far right), which is filled with leftover batter from pouring the tiger stripes for the soap on the left. The round soap on the left was made by pouring white soap with a wee bit of confetti into a round acrylic mold after I covered the inside of the mold with flowers cut from another thin slice of the original loaf. The idea for this soap came from the amazing soapmaker
Fraeulein Winter.

Scent tbd... The soap on the right is the leftover soap from the batch on the left. The flowers and moon are made from moistened confetti that I worked until it was pliable enough to mold like soap dough.

These green soaps are for an artsy friend who loves the scent of WSP's Lemongrass Green Tea. It took a lot of planing to make smooth bars because I didn't trim the soap chunks in advance. That made it easy to place the chunks where I wanted them in the batter (I used a slab mold) but also resulted in yet more trimmings... that became soap balls.

One ginormous failed batch of
Deep Space soap became two versions of what I will likely call
Cosmic Karma (out in the asteroid belt). Scented with FB Life Lessons (Karma). The mostly black soap was partially melted and then molded. For the lighter soap I made a shoe box full of soap globs and a batch of ITP swirled batter. Unlike planets, asteroids are never perfectly spherical

Yet more black confetti made me add silicone stone molds to my list of things to make (ideally, following
@Vicki C directions using two-part silicone) or buy. These soaps are scented with a blend of Lavandin and BB's Eucalyptus & Cotton.
