I have used lined Pringles cans a couple of times and they works great but I didnt like that I needed to keep buying them to get the molds! So... Off to Lowes I went and for about $10 each, I put together 2 molds for round soap. They had pre cut lengths of 2 feet. I had one of the workers (asked nicely) and he hack sawed it in half for me. I got the end caps and the "lids". I just love the way round soap feels in my hands as I roll it around in the lather. I lined it with freezer paper and Im ready to go! Now i just need to find who carries Goat milk around here . Happy soaping!

Nice! I made soap without the freezer paper, we had a heck of a time getting it out. Pounded a soup can with a hammer after freezing/thawing the soap. Freezer paper helps!

i wonder if there is such a thing as a linerless mold. I bought some so called "linerless" log type molds that come apart by unscrewing (plastic) but i havnt been brave enough to test it without lining it!

I don't line my PVC and never have a problem getting the soap out. I wish I knew why! :) I use 3 inch PVC. I cut a circle of freezer paper to use as the bottom (I can't ever rember to buy end caps!). I have 3 that are about 9 or 10 inhes in length. After I fill the molds I put them in the freezer a while and then the fridge because the only volcano I've ever had was in PVC. It's probably not necessary but to know how it is when something works once. I don't get in a hurry about getting the soap out. I leave it in the fridge a couple of days at least, mostly to avoid partial gel. To get the soap out, I use a 10 inch long piece of 2 inch PVC that has a cap on it. I stand it on the counter and put the 3 inch on the cap and push the 3 inch piece downward over the 2 inch. Sometimes it takes a little muscle power to get it started but it works like a charm - every time so far. :)

Well thats sounds easy! I'll go back to the hardware store and buy the 2" piece and the cap. Thank for the advice! Cant wait to try it :p
