Here are my weekends endeavours!
First my charcoal one enspired by Carebear's soap. I crushed two charcoal sticks for this I would have liked it slightly darker, it is secnted with Tomato leaf, I am happy with this one!

Next one is an Alkamaar dupe, which I did ina paink and lavender swirl, slight crackles on the lavender sections, so I think it must be the colour, maybe the colour itself ahd some TD in it. Smells lovely!

Hope you like them! I have also made the stain stick this morning thanks to a topic a couple of weeks ago. Will let you know what it's like once it's cured.

I love it too. Very elegant looking.
Does charcoal soap stain the washcloth?

Am loving the charcoal soap alot! One more to add to my list of soaps I one day want to make. Funny thing is with all this inspiration that list is getting pretty long.

I like black soap and I'm collecting methods of coloring it. Wonder if the charcoal capsules at the pharmacy would work? I have carebear's 1 T. ppo black oxide tip and now your charcoal sticks tip. Any more ways to black?

well that's a little to nice for words!

i really like the charcoal-it looks like slabs of slate!

and i'm really partial to pink and blue swirls!

nice job! :D

Love the charcoal. It does look like slate. My bros would like that.

I couldn't imagine using a tablespoon of black oxide per pound of oils in a soap. that would be like...wow.... a LOT of black. Maybe a teaspoon? Which still sounds a bit heavy.

I have no idea, I have to wait for it to cure, just made it two days ago.

Thanks for all the comments, I am gradually coming round to the idea of plain soap

oldragbagger,
I tried a trimming this morn, slight grey lather but only because I was looking for it! Could see a slight colour on the cloth but washed out easily, so I don't think it stains the cloth. HTH
