Can you rebatch a rebatch?

I made a beer bar that turned out great except for the smell, the vanilla beans I added didn't scent the bar at all and I wanted it to be scented. So I decided to do a rebatch and add some essential oils. This was my first rebatch and I don't think I melted it well enough, I did it in the microwave. So now it doesn't look very incorporated in the mold. So I am wondering if I can just remelt it again?

yes, you can. but each time you heat it you loose more water so you might need to add a bit more liquid. i actually recommend milk rather than water, it keeps the soap a bit more fluid.

Thank you, I tried doing my research before attempting the rebatch. I cut it this morning and actually only the outside is cosmetically unappealing so I think I may just clean it up a bit and stick with this batch.

I have rebatched more than once although I don't think I'd do it again. The result didn't improve all that much. At some point, it's time to give up and cut your losses.

So milk doesn't sour?? Does it add any other qualities to the rebatch?

Here's my first rebatch. I don't mind it, I am rebatching the scraps from my previous batches tomorrow.
