Hi everyone,

I was hoping for some business advice. Although I have been making soap for over 10 years, until this summer I only made it for myself and friends/family. My current soap offerings include a medley of soap recipes I have accumulated over the years, so I haven’t been using one primary recipe. I have been doing a lot of experimentation since I began selling to the public and recently came up with a formula that I absolutely adore, and I would like to start using that as my primary formula for the majority of my soaps. What I am wondering is should I announce this change to my customers formally? I have only been selling a few months, so I really only have a handful of regular customers at this point, but I’m debating whether I should announce the change on my Facebook business page that once my current stock sells-out, the new soaps will be reformulated. Any advice or suggestions?

Thank you I advance!

Or while you sell through any stock of your other recipes you may have, include a little sample of said new recipe with purchase and let them know this is the recipe that you love and are sticking with.

Thats a good idea! You could say its a sample of your new signature recipe (new and improved) Everyone always loves getting samples and when they use it and LOVE it...they will be back for more. Im in the same boat, and I think I will be doing this too, thanks!
