Beer and Hard Cider Soaps

These behaved better than any beer soaps I’ve ever made before. I’m just a little excited at how these turned out.

This one is made with truck stop honey ale, scented in Kentucky bourbon, and colored with mad micas.

This one is made with angry orchard hard cider, scented in an Aqua di gio type FO, and colored with mad micas and activated charcoal.

They look great. I especially love the gray and black one. After three years of soap making, I have still not figured out how to make swirls like those.

I put some in the bathroom at work. It may be one of my best soaps yet. I think it’s what all my coworkers are getting for Christmas . Even if I never get a swirl in a beer soap again, maybe I’ll at least be able to get the lather this provides.
