Smooth.

I did an in the pot swirl with rose clay.

So we'll see tomorrow how it unmolds.

Oh and I mentioned in the other thread that these cavities are actually cubes. I'm not sure why they give the different dimensions. :?

I seriously want that mold. I have had the same gloppy rose soap - we could be twins! Mine always heats enough to smooth out. Good luck.

Cubes always look cool, but aren't they awkward to use? They aren't aerodynamic.

My mold just came today! Now to get a free day to do some soaping!

Any luck getting them out of the mold? I made salt bars in mine last night and they are STUCK. Gonna wait a few days and try again to get them out. I have a feeling it's just because it's a new mold, but holy cow!

Thankfully I wont need it again for at least a week hehe.

Yes, mine came out easily after freezing. I'm suprised the salt bars didn't come out easily.

Yeah me too.....I managed to get one out...but I damaged it (the soap) pretty good in the process....I think I'll throw it in the freezer overnight and see how it works in the morning.

I think I saw on the blog or website that you should wait 5-7 days to unmold, one of the reasons I'll never get this mold. I don't have that kind of patience.

I finally got them out...they are pretty rough looking though. I think part of the problem was I was in a bit of a rush and added the salt sooner then normal...with made it settle a little....which made it stick and the bottoms be crumbly. Next time I'll be more patient. Thankfully I was only doing a few bars for myself and family (who don't care what they look like) and this wasn't a production batch.

Ys, the blog did say that. I can only assume they mention that for new soapers. It does take special considerations when soaping with/in silicone.

Water discount, hard oils, freezing mold. I think they scared people away by saying that. There is no way I'm waiting 7 days to unmold. Its just not necessary.

I keep watching this thread hoping for pics of the unmolded soap. Cough it up, Amanda! Looks lovely in the mold, but I wanna see it all.

Here ya go!

So I think I've decided I really like it! The cubes aren't as awkward as you would think and they are super cute!!!

They are 6 oz each.

I like em too! Next batch will hopefully work better for me. I have no idea why salt bars would do that....I think I'll try my basic recipe when I get my CO in and see how that works.

Unmolding was fine. They did gel so I'm sure that helped. 24 hours in the mold, 2 hours in the freezer, 10 minutes on the counter...pushed from the bottom of each cavity and they came right out.
