Banana Water?!?

I've never heard of banana water before, so when I saw it at my local grocery store of course I had to see what it does in soap. I used the banana water as 100% of my liquid, but I did freeze it before using. I used a 35% lye concentration. Out of the can it is a tan/brownish color and when the NaOH was added it turned a deep reddish brown. There was no drama in the soap making process, and I am pretty sure I should have waited for a thicker trace to pour. Hopefully, it's not too muddy. The soap is currently warm and cozy in it's heating pad and blanket bed. I'll post a picture after I cut it. The last photo is the color of the batter. I was actually trying to show a few of the speckles from the banana water on the stick blender. There really weren't many - sorry it's out of focus. I don't know if they will show up in the finished soap or not.

A little taste. It tasted like over ripe bananas. It also smelled like banana. I can't imagine drinking a glass of this though. Maybe if you really love banana?

Interesting. Coconut and maple water don't taste anything like coconut or maple syrup. Don't think I'll be rushing out to find it though.

Here are the cut bars. The little round bar is without fragrance or colorant. The others have a non accelerating non discoloring FO blend. The white on the top of the bar is pretty white with just a white mica added. I think the body of the bars are darker because the batter was poured while it was very thin trace and there was likely some amount of mixing between the base color and the accent colors. I was surprised how speckled the soap is, but I like it. My only additive was sodium citrate at 1.5%. And that is all I can think of that might be of interest.
