My aunt is invited to our holiday dinners but she but she usually travels to see her children or friends. This year she came to our house and seemed to have a good time.

Today, we received an extra Christmas gift from her. I was amazed she was able to paint these in only a few days. We were also amused by her tactfulness in painting the yellow lab a teeny bit slimmer than she is in reality.

I love the kind of gifts that can't be bought in a store. What an amazing gift!

Thank you, ladies! It is an amazing gift and very thoughtful considering she could have been working on her other paintings. She is talented and I wish I had half her talent.

They are so lovely Hazel. Isn't it nice to get something that can't be bought at a store, its even more precious to receive something like a painting of your fur babies to have forever. They look to be watercolours ? Wouldn't we all like to be painted a little slimmer.

Yes, they're watercolors which is one of the reasons she got them done so quickly.

It is especially nice to receive something that doesn't come from a store. However, a friend brought over a bottle of sparkling wine as a gift so some nice gifts do come from stores.
