made me feel like a lil kid again !

Oh yeah............saw it on the tube. It still amazes me.

When I was a kid, we would walk downtown because the furniture store would tune every tv to the rocket launch. Not difficult since all 3 channels showed it. Then everyone spilled out into the street to watch it go on up the rest of the way. We always watched the splash down, too.

We had moved too far away to be able see the Apollo 11 mission. But the whole family gathered at a cousin's house to watch 'cuz they had a color console tv!!! We got to stay up late AND watch the landing. ON A COLOR CONSOLE TV!!!!!

I love shuttle launches! I'm a Florida girl, I can remember driving up the coast to Cocoa Beach or Satellite Beach with my family to watch the rockets launch. My parents lived in DeLand until a few years ago, they would drive out and watch every single launch. Those are the coolest! So neat you got to see one 'for real'!

My Father in Law lives in Melbourne and drove to Cocoa Beach to watch it. He says it is amazing. I am jealous of course because it is 85 degrees there and it will be in the 40's this week in my neck of the woods.

We saw several when we lived in Kissimmee. I have a few pics I'll try to dig up. One was a night launch. The dual sonic booms when it lands is also awesome! :D
