I just got my new Haan steam cleaner today and couldn't wait to try it. I am now left scratching my head and wondering if these things really work like they should. I started out with a Shark I got at Target....this one was a complete disappointment. I couldn't hardly push it across the floor and the handle was so flimsy, I thought it was going to snap, so I took it back and ordered the Haan. Now, after using the Haan it doesn't pick up dried baby food off the floor unless you hold it on there for a LONG time, plus after it goes over the floor, the floor is wet from the steam, but the floor is cool and not warm at all....shouldn't it be hot? How can they claim it kills germs it it doesn't even get the floor somewhat hot?

Haan has several models to choose from..Don't know which one you have.

The general rules for steam cleaners is,the hotter the water the easier it is to clean tough spots with.Pre treat/steam the tough spots first. Then go back after the steam has loosened the food stain. It should come right up.
In the long run it's less wear and tear on the machine and you.

Here's the Haan website and faq's.Also a product review from Amazon. It's been my experience there, before buying read the reviews first. At least people have already trouble checked the problems for you.The answer could be there.
