I received a rather sizable sample of alfalfa powder in my last WSP order. It's certainly beautiful in the package. Has anyone soaped with it? I assume it will bleed, so I need to be prepared to use it in the whole batch and color over it. Yes? Thoughts anyone?

I've never had herbs bleed in CP. Just make sure you mix it with a little water first so there are no lumps.

Oh, awesome! Just to be clear, based on your experience, you think I'd be ok to, let's say, mix the alfalfa in half the batch leave the other half natural or maybe mix in some TD? (I promise not to hold you to it, just looking for guidance here, not guarantees.)

I hope OP doesn't mind my piggybacking onto their post? Does the alfalfa stay green in CP? If so, what shade of green?

If I had half a brain I formulate some small batch soaps to try this stuff out on, so I don't ruin a whole 12-bar mold. Speaking of.... I saw these Crystal Lite containers in the store this weekend. They stand about 8" tall and make the perfect size mold for little hand or sample soaps...oval about 2" x 1.5"

They come out like this:
