Adding Lavender buds to distribute evenly ?

Hello , I made my first Lavender soap and added Lavender buds , but they only sit at the top and bottom of the soaps and not throughout ? Any ideas why and what I could do please ..? Thank you

To get botanicals to suspend you will need to get a suspending MP base I believe. I don’t use botanicals in soap as I don’t want stiff all over the tub so no other advice.

I've read, that adding "additives" at trace. Will suspend them better. I use this method for my pumice and salt bars.

She's using MP soap. Not making it herself.

You need to make sure the soap is cooling and beginning to thicken before adding the lavender. It will make the soap scratchy so you're better just having it on the top.

In my experience, lavender buds in soap sound like a better idea than they actually are....ants come to mind....
