I have an FO (Sands of Morocco from WSP) that contains 10% vanilla. Does anyone know if that is enough to discolor HP soap?

I want a nice tan color, but if the FO will do it for me without any extra colorants that would be great.

According to Soap Scent Review it discolors to chocolate brown and accelerates trace, too.

I've found that even as little as 5% vanilla will eventually turn chocolaty brown.

you each need to join the SRB for yourselves, and then post your experiences and observations.

that's the only way it will remain a valuable resource.

I am already a member there, but I agree, the more soapers that join and post their findings, the more valuable it is as a resource. Nobody posts, no info, no point.

I agree with the the above: even a hint of vanilla causes discolouring:
I used coconut Island FO - ruined my white/yellow swirl to a babypoop color. :(
Cherrry garden: discolored My pink clay part to a mere Brownish pink - but not too bad.

Indeed it is better to embrace the brown and do someting "constructive" with it/ ;)

I would love to join the scent review board, however they wont take a free email addy and that is all I have. My other one has about twenty gazillion spam messages in there and if I even peek at it I get about 400 more that day!!!

Tanya :)

(so I am being my own scent reviewer (lol) plus what I can read here from other soapers experiences  )

If I recall correctly, you only get 2 messages when joining the SRB, so it might be worthwhile to "borrow" a friend's email address for the purposes of joining.

I've never gotten any spam or anything from joining there.
