    Recipe To Remove Kitchen Odors?

Another newby question if I may. What would you recommend as a recipe for a kitchen hand soap that would remove kitchen smells such as garlic, onion, fish, etc. Thanks for the feedback.

Newbie! How do I make my own recipe?

With soapcalc you can identify the traits that you want in your soap, and modify your recipe to meet those traits. Seems quite nice to work with.

    Trustworthiness of Tallow/Lard Supplier

You could always give a batch a try and report back with results. I would think it would be worth the risk. I have not experience with them however, just my pragmatic thought process.

    A Kitchen Hand Soap

I am planning on making a Kitchen hand soap this weekend with coffee grounds. I am thinking about 1lb of lard, .5 lb of Coconut Oil, and either .5 of OO, or .5 of Corn Oil. In your opinion, since the bar is for hands only, is it okay to sub the Corn Oil, (less expensive), or is there still...

Wow, thank you so much for such an in-depth reply. I really appreciate it. I think I want my soaps to get too. Should I wrap them in a towel after molding? Will this help hasten the gel?

    Newby To Soap Making

I just went back and looked at it and it is 5% super fat, that is the same as the discount correct?

I used the discount figured in soapcalc which was 5% I believe. Should I discount more? When I pull up the lye calc, it automatically has 5% in the discount field.

    Newby To Soap Making

Hi, I am new to soap making and wanted to introduce myself and ask a couple of questions. I am Kim. I have been reading lots of stuff, way too much to comprehend it all at once. I have made two batches of soap using the lye calc at soapcalc. I just used lard to begin with and noticed...
