    yeah, both fedex and ups do that same thing... i had a UPS package say it was sitting in the sorting facility for 4 days, and it was delivered on the fourth day without indication that it left the warehouse.

    i get slight moisture on the outside of my bars too (right after unmolding) ... i think the reason could be a number of things, but for me it always gets sucked back into the soap the first day after unmolding so i dont really worry about it much.

    the amount of FO needed per pound depends on the FO. most companies will give you a max % you should use per pound (on their website, if you ordered from one) as for the apricot, not too sure. teaspoon per pound sounds right, BUT i dont usually do M&P so someone else knows better than i do...

    im not a web designer, but i am a graphic designer... i just saw your other post about the website, and linked a good book to check out. i use it for inspiration for soap color schemes (among other things, like my job! LOL) ill go find the link and relink it here too.

    a good piece of 'equipment' when working with colour.. and i mean for anything... is a book such as Color Index by Jim Krause browsing through it even gives me ideas for colour/scent combos for soaps.

    ive never made a batch of lye water big enough to really be noticeably bad smelling, but i do make soap with black tea and i believe that your magnetic stirrer would be a godsend for it. tea + lye = worst smell EVER :shock: how big of a batch of lye water can you make with your stirrer...
