Hi Everyone,

I recently made a batch of olive oil base with rose geranium EO and pink clay to color. I went to take it out of the mould today and there was some liquid on the top. After i took it out there was a small amount of liquid on the outside. Does that mean it needs to dry more?

it was wrapped in a towel for 24 hours...any suggestions?

Thanks, !!

I has been out of the mould for an hour now and the moisture is drying up. I will let it sit a bit more...

I am not sure how to upload photos yet!!! Hope this works..

i get slight moisture on the outside of my bars too (right after unmolding) ... i think the reason could be a number of things, but for me it always gets sucked back into the soap the first day after unmolding so i dont really worry about it much.

It could be overheating slightly. Oils separates from the soap when it gets too hot. You can soap cooler, prevent gel, or don't insulate as much if this happens in every batch. You just want to try and avoid a partial gel.

Often the oil will absorb back into the soap but if it doesn't be sure to do a zap test after a couple of days to insure that your soap is not lye heavy.
