im surprised how many people here dont take temp. i found it to be a pain to constantly monitor both temperatures of the oils and lye/water mixture and keep them close together! its definitely a time saver!

i usually make soap with lard, castor oil, olive oil and coconut oil. i was just curious how the soap would turn out of i didn't include any coconut oil. has anyone ever tried this??

i saw that essential depot have their own ebay store which sells 4lbs of lye for around $17 on ebay. this is the cheapest i have seen.

well i just unmolded the soap and it has a funky smell :( im a little depressed by it. i should have added some sort of fragrance or essential oils, which i have very very little of and none to match the "coffee". man!!!
