never thought of it, im going to try it, i have dry hair, so it may be good?

I love it in my hair! I have been using up an oatmeal stout beer soap that I LOVE! The beer in it lathers like a fiend. The other thing that I do is rinse about once a week with apple cider vinegar, which seems to cut the buildup. Those of you that have a problem with heavy, greasy might try the vinegar rinse more often. The vinegar neutralizes the pH and also helps eliminate any possible build up.

I tried it, loved it for a day because my hair styled so nicely that day, and after that it was awful. Looked greasy and coated. I have some MP though, maybe I should try a poo bar with MP. :)

you might want to try a vinegar rinse-it removes all leftover shampoo.

boil 4 bags of chamomile tea in i quart of water-strain and cool
add 1 TBSP vinegar or lemon juice
add a few drops of rosemary, lavender, geranium e/o or what have you

pour into a bottle. when i shower i shampoo 1st, then rinse with tea. leave in until you're finished washing, then rinse thoroughly.

there is no lingering vinegar odor once your hair is dry. your hair will be shiney and soft.

if it is a little fly-away, use a leave on anti-frizz gel.

I LOVE this idea! My DH complains horribly about the vinegar smell. Poor sucker, one day when i was showering, he came in and gave me a kiss, just after I had rinsed. He ended with a mouthful of cider vinegar

Thx Heartsong!

Well...ehm, my DH does make comments about me douching my head

How should I take that comment? :D Love the chamomile idea though!

I was doing a vinegar rince and still YUCK. I think cp/hp poo bars are not for me.

I dug out my shampoo bar and gave it another go. I'll have to make up the chamomile tea rinse that was posted. Then I did what Kitn suggested, wash twice, and she was right. Not many bubbles the first time and many bubbles the second time. Then my hair felt clean. I followed with apple cider vinegar, which I desperately needed, rinsed after awhile, and then conditioner. I have to put conditioner in otherwise my longer hair will be forever tangled.

My hair is so soft and shiny. No fly away. Thanks for posting all of those tips.

I went and read all the info on that site posted by Eunique. TFS! I really would like to give poo bars a try again, especially for my dd's who have such sensitive skin.

Before reading that I never thought of putting citric acid in water to make a rince with DUH! Anyway, I will bookmark and give it a try sometime. I need to get a job first so I can order some special oils for poo bars.

I use my soap for hair too. At the end, I rinse my hair with apple vinegar+ nettle tea. I don't have dandruff any more.

I started using my soap when I ran out of shampoo and I liked it, so have continued. I have very short hair though so everything rinses out easily. Then I use conditioner.

so far (6 months? 8 months?) I've not noticed any difference in my hair and I save myself the cost of buying shampoo.

Two friends told me that their husbands used my soap on their heads and had reduced psoriasis. Before that point I'd never thought about using cp soap on my hair, that's what made me think to try it when I was out of 'poo

I used to buy a really good shampoo bar from an Aussie (Shona's Body Treats) and my hairdresser always used to say how healthy my hair was, it worked perfectly for me!!!!!!!

She stopped selling a few years ago and I tried some other brands but didn't like them as much, and i've tried making my own but same story. The first one or two washes are alright but after that it just dries my hair out too much.
