I have 3 uplands and love them! Mine are both older. One is the light blue liner and the other is the heavier red liner. The other is the round mold. They do have small test molds now (or they did last time I was on their site)

I use candelilla wax in mine. I use around 20 - 25% depending on the season. I make mine a bit harder for the hotter summer months.

I use silk in all my soaps. I got mine in a co-op a while back, but Scent Works carries it also.

You can't make a gel candle that's not in a container. Candlewic used to sell a clear hard wax you might want to see if they still have it.
