What soapy thing have you done today?

Basically, I'm just hanging out waiting to hear is Guspuppy's salt bar is going to make it. (We're rooting for you.) Made a wall pour batch that did not play nice then made cupcake soaps and forgot to put the cherries on top. Just sitting in their little bowl quietly judging me. Made some...

My man Tyrion, but on the other hand my nightmare may be coming to life. Love this show.

    Circling Taiwan Swirl Guest Soaps

Is that poppyseed in the blue? Really does make it pop. They all look fantastic. Taiwan swirls are just so peaceful and calming.

Nice looking family. I have two 15 year old blue merle Australian Shepherds. Mine are now retired. Love Baloo's name.

Game of thrones! Back at last

    * * * * * I'm mixed over Dani. She's the mother of dragons. What's not to love right there. Some times, though. I just want to shake her and yell, "You're the freaking Mother of Dragons". Her upbringing didn't exactly teach her to be a strong woman though so I get over it. I'd love a nice...

Game of thrones! Back at last

All this time I've had a working theory on who "that one"'s mother is and never considered a different father. Interesting bit to ponder on now. Dear, close friend could talk you in to that scenario if your a loyal sort. (Gears turning over little bits of grey matter.) Joffrey's death was...

Game of thrones! Back at last

Even though the series occasionally strays from the books, it's odd not knowing what's going to happen. I was hoping he wan't really dead and thought he had a greater role to play. The Red Woman scares the dickens out of me. I hope she doesn't go all "Pet Cemetery" on him. Can't wait for...

4th Loaf with some leftovers and. ..

Those are lovely. The grey is a happy accident. It really looks nice against those beautiful greens.

What soapy thing have you done today?

Not at all. It's very easy to do. Tilt the mold (I used wooden handle of my soap cutter for my 10" silicon loaf mold) and fill with the white soap batter then switch the wooden handle to other side to tilt the opposite way and fill with the blackish batter. Then I sprinkled a thin bit of dry...

What soapy thing have you done today?

I tried the alkanet layers bar from the Brambleberry book on using natural colorants. Scented with lavender and fennel. I'm a big fan of eating licorice, but not sure how much I want my hands to smell like licorice. I may find another use for all that alkanet root powder left on the shelf...

    Hi from WV

Hello all. I've been lurking and thought it's time I introduce myself. I've been making soaps and candles for the family for awhile, though now that we're empty nesters my cupboards look like I'm a soap hoarder. But, when the avocados sit on the counter and suddenly yell eat me all today or...
