    Black Friday / Cyber Monday

Hi Guys! Just wondering if anyone was going to have a sale or special event for those days? I may do something for Monday as I think a lot of people are out shopping in B & M shops on Friday, although sales were pretty good for that day online. So how about you?

    Looking for this Holiday Mold

You can actually use most stamps, just put it in the bottom of the mold and pour the soap over it and the bottom of the soap becomes the top! YOu can do that also with bubble wrap to get the cool beeswax look, fun to do for honey soaps!

    Cleanup

I use my spatula to get as much as possible scraped out, then I follow that up with paper towels, those thick blue ones they have in the automotive section, then cleaning is pretty easy :-)

    My first bonafide swirly-ish soap.

I can't imagine it would be toxic, Brambleberry is a very reputable company and those molds are very widely used. Just wanted to congratulate you on the swirl! I think you have the soap bug now! :-)

    Changes/Goals for the New Year?

Mine is simply to streamline and concentrate on the core products, soap and candles, so I"m eliminating my Mini Soaps as well and some other very time comsuming products. The end goal is to have a little more time for ME - what a concept! I love what I do and that's what leads to things being so...

Anyone go from CP to M&P? Or do both?

I think they each have their own unique cool things about them. I love to work with melt and pour and use the silicone molds, they pick up such cool detail. As far as selling, folks that arent into handmade soap are usually attratcted to the rbight colors or the M&P and buy them for gifts...

Who Are The Cheapest Suppliers For Soapmaking Oils

I'm with Judy, try looking under "restaurant supply" and you'll see things like Cash and Carry, or Smart and Final, they cater to restaurants so you can get a good deal especially on your bulk oils. I'm lucky enough to have one near my Concord Market so I stop there after I'm done for the day. I...

A good list of Herbs and plants to use in soap?

I kow alot of folks like to use Rosemary sprigs that have been cut up for exfolliation, although a friend said he bought some soap like that and said when he was done it looked like he had just mowed the lawn in the bath-tub! I like to use Calendula, don't know if that counts, but it's lovely...

    A little clueless

OliveOil2 had a fabulous idea, then you can get the exact soap, then if you decide too that you want to pursue making soap yourself you'll have a better idea what oils to use. Soap making IS a lot of fun, just make sure you do your research and use gloves/protective eyewear and work in a well...

    Renaming Carnation

I also like Fair Maiden, French Carnation too! I've also noticed that sometimes the label makes a big difference, I have changed a label on a slow selling soap more than once and once it grabs their attention they'll pick it up and smell it, then it's a done deal! :-)
