    Hazel, Do you think it's wise then not to overdo the ccn content in soap? I love the way it scents soap naturally. Surely the reaction is different after saponification as opposed to applying directly to your skin....she asks hopefully... :| I s'pose it's safer using buttermilk etc....

    CP Shampoo / Liquid Soap

    I personally haven't tried the shampoo bar I've made yet but others have..it's a recipe from Melinda Coss' book. A specific shampoo bar. It uses 2 egg yolks, creamed ccn along with the water and olive oil and beeswax. So there are other options.

    do you just do a normal rebatch? There's no problem about mixing all the fragrances....do you get some interesting scents? :) After they're hard you can use them immediately can't you?

    Honey soap

    took the label off!!! That could be the problem! Forget about things like that. Will stick to the cardboard boxes and regular molds from now on!!...til I can get hubby to make a loaf mold for me! :wink: Thank you for the honey/water advice...will do from here on in! :D

    I've made honey soap twice before but this is the first time I got a pool in the bottom of one of the molds! I left it a bit longer but it didn't change and when I unmolded it and rinsed it ...did I get my first zap!! (Well, I always wondered what it was like!!) It was a deepish half moon shape...

    ahhhhhhhhhhhh....didn't know there WERE different kinds! Yes it's the cooking kind!! Thanks ladies!! Used it in a beer, hazelnut,walnut you name it nut oil soap!! Next time will try Rosemary or something like that to use it up!! Thanks again...

    sesame oil camouflage!!

    any suggestions to help camouflage the strong scent sesame oil has? Which EO would work the best? Sandalwood?!? Or should I put a bit in a jar and add the EO to it to test?
