I've just made some oat soap. I put 2 table sppons of oats in oil and heated in low heat overnight. I then used that oil as part of my total oil in soap. I also took out the soaked oats and blended into the main oils so the bits were not too big, before adding the lye solution. Not cut yet...

Not pretty, but I've never made HP before, looked at loads of videos and it looks kind of lumpy!! Not sure how it might curl out, how do you make HP smooth? If I use soft oils, sunflower olive ect, is that better than hard, coco, palm ect?

Now we are on the subject of soap calc When I change the super fat % from 5 to 8 say I was expecting the numbers to change, ie if i up the super fat if was expecting the conditioning to to up and say the bubbles to go down?

Here is a photo of the cut soaps, not so red as liked and the saffron is not as obvious either. Forgot to say that I did not tape the ends down , just folded over, the batter was at light trace and did not seep out of ends.

Can anyone suggest an EO that has a flower smell(except lavender!!) that is a reasonable cost and holds well in CP. Perhaps there is a blend that might smell flowerlike ? Or will I have to use A FO? All my soaps are mints, lavender, lemongrass and I fancy a flower smell!!
