    baking molds

I saw that, too, but they do specifically say to spray the nonstick metal with Pam. I wonder if in doing so, you avoid a direct interaction with the soap. I don't think I would chance it with so many other options out there.

Needing advice on starting my own little site

I figure it this way, I am faced with hosting with someone, ETSY, or any of the other craft sites. I would really like to jus tset up my own little site on a free service somewhere (if that's possible) and want to know the feedback of others regarding the success of free hosts and words of...

    Peanut Butter Teardrops

Beveler from Kangaroo Blue. I LOVE it. I ordered one replacement blade, but better order more because this thing will get a workout! I love rustic soaps, but being the linear person I am, beveling serves me well. Plus, it's so much more comfortable in the hand. Thanks for all the kind...

    water substitutes

Don't waste your time trying to make a lemon juice soap and expect it to smell like lemon. The lye will destroy it. Plus, lemon juice is extremely acidic. I don't know that the soap would work with that. I soap with a number or liquids, but don't expect the scent of the original liquid to...

    soap stings :(

I think you're destined for a rebatch. It sounds like it's lye heavy and possibly had a false trace or something.

    My first "Fancy" recipe

I'd pull the castor back to about 5 myself, but that's just me. I don't like sticky things. I'd replace it with olive oil and bring down the cleansing just a tad. It will eventually be quite hard. Just personal preference.

    stop the flash!!!

I am always willing to learn, but I always thought that the flashpoint was the temperature at which the scent would go poof! Just kidding!!!!! I don't care what temp I soap mine at. They will be what they will be, except the citrus EOs which are pretty much a waste of money and time in soap.

    Wow...dark black

You know that elusive true black we all look for ? Well, unfortunately, I found it and I fear my 5 color concoction will suffer from dead-gray lather. Ugh. It might look cool when it's done sleeping, but it will defiitely be on the fugly lather list. It was supposed to be like an ITP swirl, but...

    Will Honey Sweeten lip balm?

Someone else can help me out here, but I thought you couldn't use Honey in lip balm because it's not oil-soluble. Honey dissolves in water and that's not part o lip balm.

    CRUMBLY SALT BARS

I don't know, but it appears that you have greater than 100% of your oil total and that alone would impact the ability of the bar to hold together. Someone jump in here if I am wrong. I recently did a salt bar with 60% of oil total and it is beautiful.

    What is Your Blood Type??

I want to know why this new poster is only posting strange things like exercise (posted in Bath and body forum) and now asking the blood type of people in here. These are not soaping type things. What gives?

    The benefits of gym

I think this is either in the wrong thread or I just don't get it. Exercise isn't related to bath and body.

    CP-MP funnel swirl

I fear my little log mold may have met its demise due to the glycerin as well. Was yours a wooden mold. Mine is.....maybe WAS.

    CP-MP funnel swirl

Has anyone tried a CP-MP funnel swirl. I want to try this, but wondered if it has already been done and what the results were. I know that when putting pieces of glycerin soap into a CP batch, they have to have alcohol sprayed on them to get adherence to the batter. But, if the glycerin is...
