    Yes. I have done this with GM cream. It could be my imagination, but I think it makes a creamer bar. Then 100% GM as lye water.

    I think it depends alot on your recipe. and the amount of hard vs liquid oils. and if you gel or not. I have forced gel on a lard batch and Had to cut it 2 hours after pouring.

    It sounds like your FO complicated things. To get colors to 'pop' you could try using colors that are opposite each other on the color wheel. ie orange and blue, yellow and purple, red and green.

    Are those mined or lab created, I can't tell? If they are not certified skin safe, you may find yo self in a heap-o-trouble.

    No way gals, it's full on Bill Nye the science guy attire when I soap! :lol: Actually hand me down safety goggles, and disposable latex gloves. One lye burn on my hand was enough.

    If your thinking of picking your own.... Not sure what part of the country your in, but in Tn the elderberry bushes began blooming in late June. I point this out b/c when they are in bloom they are easiest to recognized. I like to spot them then make a mental note, or even tie a bit of ribbon...
