That's a beautiful soap, you'd never know it was your first! The soap dishes are very pretty too.

HP is done when the zap is gone, not necessarily according to which stage it's at. Do you add sodium lactate to your HP? It really helps to keep it more fluid. Also, you can add a little bit of additional oil after the cook to keep it smoother (not too much or it will decrease the lather!)

It's difficult to get the exact same tops on MP as with CP, because they are such different mediums. However, you can manipulate the MP a bit to make it look more like CP...if you see the pic below, I cooled and stirred the melted MP until it started to get thick and then quickly poured it and...

I always add it after cooking it and cooling it slightly, that way the fragrance doesn't burn off during the cooking phase.
