    Oat milk soap

Hi Fran2, thanks you for the compliment :) Yes, for instance, if your recipe called for 15 ounces of liquid, you would mix 7.5 ounces of water with your lye, and set aside 7.5 ounces of oat milk to add into your oils at the same time as your lye water. Which recipe calls for 3 cups of oat...

    Oat milk soap

Hi Fran2, I'm not the person you quoted, but I have made oat milk and can share with you what I did :) I chose not to use 100% oat milk for the liquid, because I read it could turn into a glob too. Instead, I used 1/2 of the water called for to mix with the lye, and then I added the other half...

    Full milk or half?

If this is the first time you're making goat milk soap, I would suggest starting with just half to see how it behaves, then I would try using 100% to see the difference. I wish I had access to fresh goat milk, you're so lucky! Have fun! :D

I'd like to know too. I haven't had to rebatch yet, but it would be a good idea to have the instructions on hand.

    Photography Help!!!

I do the same as Genny, I use a piece of white posterboard as my background. I find taking my pictures outside (or near a window) on a bright, cloudy day gives the best light, but of course that's not always possible!

Shelf Life for opened Fragrance Oils

I have some that I have had for a couple of years and they are still fine. I don't refrigerate them, I just keep them in a cool area of the house in dark glass bottles.

    Lilac Soap Seized...help

It sounds like you made a good save! I probably wouldn't have set the oven higher than 170 (just to try to save the f.o. from burning off) but other than that it sounds like you did everything right. Nothing more frustrating than having to throw out a batch of soap :(

    HP soap question

A water bath would definitely be worth a try! I hope you get a chance to try the SL, I was skeptical it would make such a difference, but it really does!

    HP soap question

Loolee, I had to work really quickly! I had six cups set up, and I just stirred the colors in as quickly as I could and dumped them back into the pot to try to swirl them somehow. However, I did lose about 1/4 of my batch of soap because some of the soap had hardened on the sides of the cups...
