    Goats milk question

    I should say I always have my lye solution mixed up ahead of time. You know 50%lye - 50% water and/or aloe vera juice. So if you want a 100% goat milk bar then you would have to add goat milk powder to your goat milk. HTH

    If some parts are darker, could it be that you got a partial gel? If so, then it is just fine to use. Just doesn't look that great.

    If I was making up this recipe with my soap scraps which come from soap with a 5 - 10% superfat could I add a smidge of lye after it is all mixed up and let it sit for a few days. Or would this mess up the recipe? Hope you can understand my question? TIA. Laurie

    I have the Braun SB which I also got on sale for about $30. Got it at London Drugs about 5 years ago. Silly me I didn't realize until I read your post Surf girl that it twists apart. Bonus. Of course I probably don't make quite as much soap as the rest of you. Laurie
